Kicking off the first weekend in October, Tlaquepaque hosted four weddings under clear skies and full moon. The weather is a bit cooler this time of year but that did not affect our bridal couples.

We were excited to host the wedding of Alison Ecklund and Scott Carney. They booked their Tlaquepaque wedding last August, and at the time, their wedding date of Saturday, October 3, 2009 seemed so far away. But before we knew it, the wedding date was here. Alison is a journalist with the Sedona Red Rock News and a local favorite. Scott and Alison made the perfect Sedona couple and we loved having them here.

Their wedding ceremony took place on the Patio de las Campanas at the foot of the Tlaquepaque bell tower. Scott and Alison walked across the bridge above the patio and entered the ceremony site by our tiled staircase. It was a very elegant entrance to a lovely ceremony. Events by Showstoppers decorated the Patio with lovely curtains as a back drop for the ceremony.

Donna Joy with Sedona Sweet Arts created a beautiful wedding cake covered with coconut. The cake was light and fluffy and it looked as if it were adorned by feathers. What a wonderful and unique wedding cake.
