It is no longer accepted to have any type of live animals on display at your wedding reception. In the late 90’s, you would see goldfish added to tables as a centerpiece or having live birds or butterfly releases. This is no longer acceptable at wedding. Guests are much more emotional about the treatment of animals and it does not give the wedding a good image. Stay away from using animals or insects as a decorating tool for your wedding. Keep it elegant and natural. It is your best bet.
